Its Monday! What are you reading? ~ 3 Aug 2020

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at The Book Date.

Hello bookworms!

How was your week?

I’ve had a busy week in terms of work, so I did not get a lot of time to read. I also had to undergo a root canal surgery this weekend. I was planning to get a lot of reading done this week and also participate in the Indian Lit Readathon, but alas, time was not on my side. Next time, maybe!

    1. It is a definite must read! I flew through it in a day, even though it was extremely emotional to read. What I loved was how honest and no-nonsense it was…told from a perspective of a 16-yr old it showed not only the black rage and white privilege, but also the truth behind the gang wars in black neighbourhoods and the downsides of riots. I haven’t seen the movie, but I really think the book needs to be read to understand the thought process of all the characters🙂
